For many filmmakers, social media has become the mainstay of our marketing strategies. Yet how many of us actually devise a social media plan for our project? In this Weeknight Workshop, social media specialist, Zindzi Morris-Alleyne shares invaluable tips and tools for harnessing the power of your Faceook and Instagram accounts!
It’s been over five months since our first Meet & Mingle back in May. Since then, we’ve been continuing our work on a number of projects including our Weeknight Workshops, social events, the FILMCO website and lots more.
We’d like to spend some time sharing with you the work we’re doing and the things we have planned. We’d also very much like to hear the ways in which we might better serve you. This meeting is for everyone who has signed up to FILMCO!
Weeknight Workshops: Directing Actors for Film and TV
The ability to communicate clearly with actors towards realising a role in a film or television show is absolutely essential for directors. In this Weeknight Workshop, Director Juliette McCawley will share some of her techniques and demonstrate with actors.
This will be an invalulable workshop for both actors and directors alike!
An award winning Trinidadian filmmaker, Juliette McCawley spent 15 years as an actor doing theatre, commercials and films in the US before directing her first short film. She moved to Shanghai where she spent the next 5 years, producing, writing and directing 10 short films as well as industrial and corporate videos. While in Shanghai she was also a co-founder of the East West Theatre company and continued to perform in plays as well as films. In 2010 she studied Advanced Film Directing at Central Film School London. Since her return to Trinidad she has worked as a producer/writer/director on documentaries, short films and features, that have screened locally and internationally.
Under the umbrella of ttff/17, FILMCO: the Filmmakers Collaborative of Trinidad and Tobago, is hosting a Filmmaker Games Night for local and visiting film professionals as a fun, networking mixer. Better polish up on your pop culture trivia knowledge!
